Walk-In School Shot Clinic

The Health Department will hold a Back to School Walk-In shot clinic on August 16th from 3:00 pm to 7pm at our office in Plattsburg.  No appointments will be made, persons will be seen first come, first served. A wait should be expected. Please bring immunization records for all persons receiving vaccinations.

All shots needed for children over the age of 2 years will be available at this clinic.

Children entering eighth grade are required by state statute to have received a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria,  pertussis). This vaccine will be available at the clinic.

Menactra (meningitis) is recommended for all students age 11 and over. Many colleges now require this vaccine prior to admission. The Health Department has this vaccine available for persons age 11 – 18 for no charge. The Health Department is also able to administer this vaccine to students over the age of 19 for a limited time.

There is no charge for these vaccines to any child under the age of 19. Donations are always appreciated, and help to reduce the need for increased tax levies, or structure fee implementation.
